Due to demand, another one-day workshop for non-profit organizations, schools and government will be hosted by Central Prairie (RC&D) Resource Conservation & Development Council from 9 am to 4 pm on Feb. 22 at Barton County Community College – Fine Arts Building Room F30 – 245 NE 30 RD in Great Bend.  Registration begins at 8:30 am and the fee is $75 per person.

This workshop is an overview and hands-on approach to the grant-writing process.  Learn how to find sources of funding for your projects, grant-writing tips and procedures, and how to develop your project into a successful grant application.

The workshop will be presented by Shannon Martin of Professional Grant Services.  As an experienced grant writer and fundraiser for more than 15, Shannon has raised millions of dollars for organizations, cities and schools across Kansas.

“Shannon Martin presented her Basic Grant Writing Workshop for Fort Scott Community College on the Paola campus, and it was a tremendous success.  The presenter was an expert in her field, and she used her enthusiasm and practical knowledge to wow the audience.  Those attending left with the knowledge they were seeking, and a lot of hints and suggestions to enable them to write a winning grant,” said Carol Everhart, Associate Dean, FSCC – Paola Campus.  To register, call LaVeta at the CP RC&D office at 620-792-6224.
