GRANT WRITING

Central Prairie Grant Writing Services Available

In an effort to increase the ability for various groups and organizations to seek funds for economic development, Central Prairie RC&D throughout the year will hold grant writing workshops for both the beginner and experienced writer.  These workshops provide participants with information about foundations and corporations, who they give to and why, how to structure a proposal, how to develop a proposal and how to submit a proposal.  We are currently working with Barton County Community College in hope to offer one hour college credit, or CEU (Continuing Education Credit), for completion of this and a follow-up course.  More information later…

Are you looking for sources of grant money for your special project, but don’t know where to begin, or you don’t have several hours to spend thumbing through thick books?  Central Prairie RC&D is committed to provide a grant search service for our eight county service area to save you a lot of time!  (Barton, Edwards, Ellsworth, McPherson, Pawnee, Reno, Rice, & Stafford)  Users of the service will be provided with information on 5-15 foundations which show the best potential for funding a particular project.  Grant searches have been provided for museums, historical societies, civic and other community organizations.  In addition, a library of grant reference books is maintained in the RC&D office for public use.
