1960 Cessna 180D, 8640 TT, 440 SOH, 20 since prop
overhaul. Garmin 250 XL GPS/Com, King KX 170B Nav/Com, King KT76
transponder W encoder, and ADF-12-Y. Martin Machining STOL kit, January
2010 Annual, $72000.00. Earl 800 943 3587 (Ks).
Maintenance and repair performed at last annual.
Airframe:
11/17/08 Tach 2091.5. Replaced engine air filter, fuel hose to
carburetor, carb air flexible inlet duct, engine shock mounts, and lower
engine mount bushings at firewall. Replaced scat ducts for carb heat and
cabin heat, and the cabin heat valve. Replaced main wheel bearings and
races, and main wheel tires. Cleaned and regreased wheel bearings. Added
5606 fluid to brake reservoirs. Replaced right main gear outboard
bracket P/N 0790006-6. Replaced generator field wire terminal,
instrument panel shock mounts, static air sump, vacuum air filter,
overhead lights, and right stabilizer tip. Replaced engine baffle seals,
cowl chaff seal, door seals, and landing gear seals. Replaced rod end at
governor, right cowl flap rod end and shock mount, elevator cables,
right aft trim cable, and rudder pulleys aft of baggage area. Replaced
rudder leading edge and both side skins. Cut and flared cracked primer
line at firewall. Repaired with doublers three cracks top right wing
skin, pilots and copilots doors at lower hinges, split stringer at
landing gear bulkhead, and floor skin aft end of baggage area. Repaired
copilots seat stop support. Serviced compass. Cleaned landing light
lens. Fabbed and installed new mixture cable support at engine. Drilled
rivets outboard right aileron, corrected twist, and riveted. Tightened
right flap roller bolts. Replaced right aileron control rod bolt.
Removed corrosion at copilots floorboard and aft of battery vent and
primed areas. Sanded and painted door posts forward to spinner, doors,
struts, wing leading edges, and wing tips. Replace ELT battery (expires
2010). ELT tested and inspected per FAR 91.207
(d).
Engine:
11/17/08 Tach 2091.5, TT 1822, TSOH 420.5. Changed oil (Phillips 20W50).
Checked oil screen for contaminates, found okay. Cleaned and gapped
spark plugs. Checked timing. Compression 76, 72, 77, 76, 72, & 63/80.
Removed carburetor, cleaned checked float level, and reinstalled.
Replaced hose attaching dipstick tube to crankcase, bolts for exhaust
clamps, right primer nozzle, and generator belt. Check tighten intake
clamps and rocker box screws. Tighten loose exhaust nut on #6 cylinder.
Ground test satisfactory.
Prop:
11/17/08 Tach 2091.5, TT unkown, TSOH 0. Propeller removed, sent to
Foster’s propeller for overhaul and compliance with AD91-15-04, and rein |
